Oxygen Arts has a mix of charities, libraries and local authority cultural clients to whom we provide strategic marketing and business development consultancy as well as film and photography services. We work with clients such as Surrey Arts, The Reading Agency, CILIP, Empathy Lab, Share the Vision and Public Libraries 2030 (EU) usually with a focus on photography or filming commissions or strategic communications/ project management. The latter could include brand development, stakeholder engagement strategies, design services and report writing.

We have also just begun to accept digital media commissions for the young people we’ve trained and clients for this have been Baobab Foundation, The Brixton Project and Black Cultural Archives.

Our team members have:

  • Managed the transition of Public Libraries 2020 into Public Libraries 2030 which included managing the brand designer and the web developer, designing the new website and writing the news release and social media plan for launch.
  • Managed the rebrand of Society of Chief Librarians including commissioning and managing the creative agency,  the production of an image library, the development of a new website and launching the new organisation at their seminar in June.
  • Developed ATHUB, an online training resource for professionals working in the area of trafficking and modern slavery. This entailed editing and writing all of the content for the site, which includes case studies, presentations, Q&As and ensuring that the more detailed legal content was accessible for a lay audience.
  • Created the new image library for Libraries Connected which included visits to ten libraries around the country to capture the wide range of activities that happen in libraries.
  • Authored The cost of being out at work: LGBT+ workers’ experiences of harassment and discrimination and edited the Equality Audit report 2016 for the Trades Union Congress.
  • Project managed the survey element of the Life Study research programme at the Institute of Child Health, within a Managing Successful Programmes framework. Life Study was the UK’s newest birth cohort study, funded by the ESRC and in partnership with two NHS trusts.
  • Produced the annual report for Society of Chief Librarians that included copywriting and design. Created the first ever annual reports for ATLEU to target major donors and funding partners.
