Oxygen Arts are leading a year-long creative media project to help young, care experienced people to feel positive and powerful as they emerge from the pandemic. Funded by Lambeth ELEVATE Neighbourhoods programme, the project aims to raise their wellbeing and self-esteem, nurture their aspirations, and help connect them to their communities.
We aim to engage a diverse group of up to 40 young care experienced people aged 16-25 years old to:
- Support their transition into independent living
- Give them new creative and digital skills
- Help them to challenge the stigma they face.
We will be working with a range of local artists, including Maria Amidu, as well at the national charity Become and will be supported by Lambeth’s Social Care participation team.
